Shkorpilovtsi - Bulgaria

Shkorpilovtsi is a modest resort with a dune beach. The town is named after two Czech brothers Karel and Herman who founded Bulgarian archeology in the late 19th century. In 1882 they immediately began sorting out and cataloguing the regions antiquities which helped form the foundation for the Varna archaeological museum. Specializing in medieval Bulgarian archaeology, Karel was honored by being buried at the medieval kingdom of Pliska.
